Jonathan S. Wall is the Professor at the Department of Medicine, Adjunct Associate Professor at the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences, University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine, and Director of Preclinical and Diagnostic Molecular Imaging Laboratory at University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine, Knoxville. He completed his graduation from University of Essex in 1991. He also completed his PhD from University of Essex and Post doctorate from University of Tennessee Medical Center.
The Research of Dr. Wall mainly focuses on pre-clinical diagnostic imaging of amyloid diseases. He has been studying amyloidosis for over 20 years. He recently received a new three-year grant totaling $1,050,000 from the National Institutes of Health to study "Pre-targeting Immunotherapy for Light Chain (AL) Amyloidosis." For this project, Dr. Wall is working to develop a novel, two-stage immunotherapy that will increase the success of currently available treatments for AL patients and possibly widen the opportunities of using such antibody-based therapies to other forms of systemic amyloid disease.
