National Amyloidosis Awareness Day

National Amyloidosis Day takes place on the 8th of May each year with the aim of raising awareness for Amyloidosis. Amyloidosis is a rare disease that occurs when a substance called Amyloid builds up in your organs. Amyloid is an abnormal protein that is produced in your bone marrow and can be deposited in any tissue or organ.
We rely heavily on community support, and a large portion of this is from fundraising events and activities involving dedicated people like you. The possibilities are limited only by your imagination so get creative, go over the top and let everyone know that you stand for supporting those who are suffering from Amyloidosis.
